From Forest to Home: The Sustainable Journey of a CARVD Table

From Forest to Home: The Sustainable Journey of a CARVD Table
  by Gal Adir

Luxury doesn’t need to come at the cost of the planet. At CARVD, sustainability is central to our craft. Every table begins its life in responsibly managed forests across Indonesia, where our team sources timber selectively and with care.

Once selected, the wood undergoes a natural drying process—air-dried over many months to maintain integrity and reduce waste. Our craftsmen then begin the transformation, respecting the wood’s original form and working around its natural contours.

Nothing is rushed. Nothing is wasted. Our production is made-to-order, meaning no surplus inventory and minimal environmental impact. Every offcut is reused or donated locally. Every finish is non-toxic and low-emission.

The result? A piece that feels as good as it looks—one that supports not just exceptional design, but responsible living.
